Last Night's Dream and the Dreamer

Dreamt a dream that I dunno how to explain - the initiation / validation of a female spiritual teacher. Ceremony performed in the Tibetan tradition. Feeling of comin' home, of always havin' known, of never havin' now to turn an' find any alternative ever again. Faith confirmed. Oh, and there was a sense of mountains an' shadows an' landscapes from worlds within worlds that ya only get to by subverting the geographix of convention, puttin' ya palms togther at ya heart an drinkin' deep the big inner...

dreamer

maybe I fantasize too much
about sittin' on the shore
of a distant planet
watchin' an incredible sun
sittin' like a great ball in the sky
source of inspiration for millions

kaleidescopic points of light
blazin' the foundations of my consciousness
takin' me to the green fields
o' ma early life
when hope was always just round
the next bend on the road,
an' the mystery of bein'
meant intoxication with existence,
when it felt like the world never end,
jus' go on for ever an' ever
for ever an' ever
an' ever
an' ever...

Lion Waitin' for the Call

Ain't wrote nuthin' for what seems a long time, no inclination to do so. Ya know you have to have the feeling, the spirit that you wanna set things down...an' that just ain't happening at the moment.

Meditation is bubblin'. Kinda have times when I can sit like a lion in a cave with no hunger, jus' the contenment of bein' seepin' through my every pore. Other times I can feel like a crushed potato barely able to see across the other side of the room.

Had an insight the other day, might be nuthin' might be cool, really dunno, but what it was was that meditation calls ya and when ya hear the call good an' proper ya jus' can't let go, ya gotta do it. Or rather, it won't let you go. Kinda comes from a feelin' down below, down in the solar plexus, in the gut where the fires are burnin' - that is what truly motivates ya to meditate.

If there ain't no fire then it is a great deal harder to know what it is that you are supposed to do. Then ya is dealin' with the crazy stuff of no substance an' a one way ticket to a dead end street 'coz you is empty in the wrong kinda way an' ya meditation can only drain ya. Drain ya more an' more so ya go beyond zero and into the minus zone. So look into the fires, wait for the call an' do a bit of prayin' 'till it comes along.
